MIAMI – The FIU baseball program continued its dominant start to the season with a 6-2 victory over Delaware on Friday night at FIU Baseball Stadium, securing the opening game of a three-game series.
The Panthers improved to a perfect 6-0 record, marking their best start since 2022 and the strongest under third-year head coach Rich Witten.
FIU set the tone early with a three-run first inning, capitalizing on key opportunities to take control. The Panthers tacked on two more runs in the fourth before adding an insurance run in the eighth to seal the win.
