MIAMI (June 11, 2020) – FIU's Logan Allen was selected by the Cleveland Indians in the second round of the 2020 MLB Draft on Thursday evening, as the Panther ace was picked 56th overall. With the selection, Allen becomes the third-highest pick in FIU baseball history.
MLB's Draft usually consists of 40 rounds, however, due to the COVID-19 outbreak, this year's draft was shortened to five rounds.
