On the latest edition of the “Florida Gators Podcast,” presented by Stonewood Grill and Tavern, Peach Valley Café, and Murray Automotive Group, Brady Ackerman and Shane Matthews begin by discussing Steve Spurrier and the renaming of the Florida Field.
Spurrier will be honored in a pregame ceremony as the field officially is renamed “Steve Spurrier-Florida Field at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium.”
“I applaud the university for doing this,” Ackerman said. “I think this helps get fans to a game they may not be excited about.”
The only concern is the looming bad weather this weekend with Tropical Storm Hermine moving through north Florida.
