Every game is a learning experience, especially for a relatively young team embarking on a new era under a new head coach. Of course, it’s a much more pleasurable process when you can learn AND win.
That was the case with Jim McElwain’s team Saturday night in Lexington. The Gators created many teaching moments for themselves -- and also managed to hold on for a 14-9 win over Kentucky that moves the Gators to 3-0 with Tennessee coming to The Swamp on Saturday.
“We are going to go back and have a great walk-through practice Monday and we’re going to watch film,” junior tailback Kelvin Taylor said.
