Former Florida State fullback William Floyd will be inducted into the school's athletics hall of fame, FSU announced this week.
Floyd, a Lakewood High alumnus, was a key part of the Seminoles' 1993 national championship team. He later played seven seasons in the NFL and won a Super Bowl with the 49ers.
Baseball player and Bloomingdale High product Tony Thomas is also a member of the class. He was Collegiate Baseball's national player of the year in 2007. Thomas was also the first Seminoles player with 30 doubles, 100 hits and 30 steals in one season.
