In 19 seasons, Billy Donovan built Florida into a college basketball power, leading the Gators to two national titles, four Final Fours and 14 NCAA Tournament appearances.
Being the guy after “the guy” isn’t easy, and would take a coach secure in his own convictions. Here’s an early list of candidates who could replace Donovan:

Florida assistant coach John Pelphrey — Donovan is reportedly pushing for Pelphrey to replace him, and Florida athletic director Jeremy Foley has a strong relationship with the former Kentucky standout player.
