Florida snapped a five-game losing streak with a 36-7 win over UAB on Saturday in Gainesville. It was the Gators’ first home game in 35 days.
It was Florida’s fourth victory of the season and the first under interim coach Randy Shannon. The four wins ties the lowest total in a season (2013) since the Gators went 0-10-1 in 1979.

Good production from a limited roster
Florida had just 53 healthy scholarship players available, and maybe that’s why coaches used several players who hadn’t seen much, if any, time this season.
