Florida Gators guard Walter Clayton Jr. broke Florida’s program record for consecutive games with a three pointer on Wednesday night vs South Carolina.

Trailing 46-35 at the 14-minute mark in the second half, Clayton Jr buried his first three pointer of the game, extending his active streak to 42 games, passing Michael Frazier II’s record of 41, which was set in the 2014-15 season.

“Number one is confidence, and number two is consistency,” Florida head coach Todd Golden said on Clayton Jr’s. streak. “You know, I think every team we’re playing against is trying to limit Walter’s ability to make threes, and he’s been able to do it.
