NASHVILLE, Tenn. --- Turns out, the third time wasn’t the charm Friday for Florida against Vanderbilt.
Second-seed Florida tied seventh-seed Vanderbilt at the end of regulation with a 9-1 run, but it wasn’t enough as the Gators fell 72-62 in overtime to the Commodores at Bridgestone Arena.
The Gators (24-8) have dropped three of their last four and now will wait to see if they end up a top four seed in the NCAA Tournament and play in Orlando.
No. 17 Florida dropped to 0-3 against the Commodores this season and 0-5 against Vanderbilt under coach Mike White.
