A CBSSports.com interview with Ohio State coach Urban Meyer paints a picture of a man with a long memory.
Meyer, who has had to replace both Steve Spurrier and Jim Tressel – and done so successfully – doesn’t like newcomer head coaches blaming the previous staff for their own failures.
For instance, Meyer says Will Muschamp “blamed us for Florida” after the latter took over for the former at the school.
While Meyer didn’t elaborate on what Muschamp supposedly said, it can be inferred that he was highlighting some sort of mess behind the scenes when it came to the team and that he, in turn, should be credited with righting the ship from a discipline, character and academics standpoint if not wins and losses.
