It was just one catch. A simple wide receiver screen.
But it could end up being the kind of confidence-building reception that will get Florida junior wide receiver Ahmad Fulwood going for the rest of the season.
Fulwood finished with his first two catches of the season for 15 yards against East Carolina. But one stood out. On a wide receiver screen, the 6-foot-4, 210-pound Fulwood plowed through East Carolina defensive back Rocco Scarfone as he tried to tackle him, tacking on an additional three yards to an eight-yard gain.
“When you don’t get (the ball) sometimes during the game or sometimes during the week, you gotta relieve some stress,” Fulwood said.
