Florida continues to climb up the team recruiting rankings for 2016.
The Gators landed their 22nd verbal commitment Thursday with the pledge of defensive end Jachai Polite, according to Daytona Beach Mainland athletic director Patrick Monahan.
With the addition of Polite, UF’s class is now ranked in the top 10 by two sites (Scout and 247Sports) and moved up to No. 11 in Rivals.com’s team rankings.
The 6-foot-3, 248-pound Polite picked UF over Miami and also held offers from Auburn, Mississippi State and Tennessee. He’s the second straight defensive end to pledge to the Gators, joining top-100 overall recruit Antonneous Clayton.
