UF quarterback Kyle Trask is accustomed to being an afterthought.
With all the attention of incumbent Feleipe Franks and incoming freshman Emory Jones, Trask quietly has made an impression after sitting out last season following foot surgery.
Trask’s potential has been hard to ignore. At 6-foot-5, 239 pounds, Trask has prototypical size and a strong, accurate arm.
“He’s got a live arm,” coach Dan Mullen said. “Throws the ball really well. He’s got a lot of talent.”
Trask, a redshirt sophomore, was lightly recruited out of Manvel (Texas) High School, where he primarily was a back-up.
