UF signee Justin Watkins has been suspended from team activities indefinitely following his second arrest in 10 weeks.
Watkins, a former standout at Clermont’s East Ridge and top Gators’ recruit, is in Alachua County Jail Tuesday facing four charges including false imprisonment/kidnapping and domestic battery by strangulation. Each is a third-degree felony, according to the Alachua County inmate log.
“Justin Watkins has been suspended immediately from all activities,” coach Dan Mullen said through a UF spokesman.
Watkins also was arrested May 9 in Ocala after he allegedly kicked a female's car, broke her phone and then followed her to Ocala’s Vanguard High School, where she was a student.
