Given Jim McElwain’s track record of success with his pro-style offense, the Florida quarterbacks and tailbacks are obviously happy about the change in style and philosophy. But the happiest of all might be the guys catching the ball, the wide receivers and tight ends.
They look at past production in McElwain’s passing scheme and see opportunities. Lots of opportunities that were not there under the old, more conservative regime.
“It’s just an offense, they do a good job finding who they want to get the ball to in different ways to get it to them,” senior tight end Jake McGee said.
