UF receiver Trevon Grimes scored his first touchdown to kick off the 2018 campaign for the Gators.
Grimes’ next trip to the end zone did not arrive until 10 games later in the regular season finale.
In between, the talented South Florida native would continue to adjust to new surroundings, teammates and SEC competition. By the time the Gators visited Florida State in late November, Grimes was poised to break out and fulfill the lofty expectations he faced upon his transfer from Ohio State.
During UF’s spring game, Grimes made it clear he has arrived, finishing with a record 195 receiving yards, highlighted by touchdowns of 65 and 61 yards.
