GAINESVILLE — UF coach Jim McElwain was at a loss for answers about quarterback Luke Del Rio's disappointing day.
Was it rust of a four-week layoff, a sore knee, wet and windy conditions or something else that turned Del Rio's highly anticipated return into a dud Saturday against Missouri?
McElwain's frustration was hard to hide.
"Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah ... It wasn't good," he deadpanned.
Del Rio was quick to agree following a three-interception day that could have been worse.
"It's my job to take care of the ball," he said.
