Nothing was going to brighten a rainy, dreary, chilly day in the Swamp for UF quarterback Feleipe Franks.
Even a pair of long touchdown passes near the end of Friday’s scrimmage did not lift the cloud hanging over the redshirt sophomore — not after three interceptions earlier in the day.
Franks had received high marks for his preparation, attitude and execution during the first two weeks of spring practices. During his first live action under new coach Dan Mullen, Franks floundered.
The performance rekindled memories of his first spring game in the Swamp — a three-interception confidence-killer as a freshman in April 2016.
