Junior Florida quarterback Skyler Mornhinweg is transferring to Columbia, UF coach Jim McElwain announced on the SEC coaches’ teleconference today.
Mornhinweg’s departure leaves the Gators with only two scholarship quarterbacks. Mornhinweg was third on the depth chart coming out of the spring.
Sophomore Treon Harris and redshirt freshman Will Grier will continue their battle for the starting role when camp opens in August. Redshirt junior walk-on QB Jacob Guy also got in some work in the spring.
