Florida coach Jim McElwain’s vision of a new stand-alone football facility has moved closer to becoming a reality.
UF on Wednesday announced the selection of global architecture and engineering firm HOK to design its new stand-alone operations building, along with a dining room facility for all of the school’s 500-plus student-athletes.
“This football operations project will have a significant impact on the daily experience of our student-athletes and staff,” UF athletic director Scott Stricklin said. “It represents a substantial commitment on behalf of Florida Athletics and Gator Boosters to ensure that our football coaches, players and staff are able to perform as efficiently as possible.
