UF outfielder Harrison Bader was selected Tuesday during the third round of the Major League Baseball by the St. Louis Cardinals.
Bader has been a Gator cornerstone for three seasons, but is amid his best season as UF heads to Omaha for the College World Series.
Bader enters Saturday night's matchup with Miami second on the team in home runs (15), RBI (61) and total bases (129), while hitting .292 and posting a .392 on-base percentage. Even more impressive, Bader has not committed an error all season for the nation's top defense.
The 100th overall Bader is the second Gator drafted this week, joining shortstop Richie Martin.
