Florida Gators’ leading scorer Jalen Hudson will explore his NBA options before he decides whether to return for one more season of college basketball.
Hudson will declare for the draft, a source confirmed, but will not retain an agent so he does not forfeit his remaining college eligibility.
ESPN’s Jeff Goodman first reported Hudson’s plans, which ultimately could leave the 2018-19 Gators without their top two scorers from this past season’s squad.
Hudson led UF with an average of 15.5 points and was the team’s leading scorer 14 times. The 6-foot-6, 192-pound shooting guard scored a team-high 23 points during the Gators’ season-ending 69-66 loss to Texas Tech in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
