In three decades coaching defense, UF coordinator Todd Grantham has seen and heard it all.
Even so, Gators’ first-year freshman cornerback Trey Dean has made an impression while making sure everyone around him knows it.
“He’s probably one of the most competitive guys I’ve been around,” Grantham said Thursday. “I think that’s allowed him to excel early.”
Dean has added much-needed quality depth and plenty of swagger to a unit featuring some of the team’s most talented, talkative players.
“He’s a big talker and I’m real big on him,” cornerback CJ Henderson said of Dean.
