The drought continues for the Florida Gators during the NBA draft.
Versatile UF forward Dorian Finney-Smith was not selected on Thursday night to make it three years without a Gators player selected.
Finney-Smith had hoped to become the first UF player drafted since the Chicago Bulls used the 49th pick in 2013 on forward Erik Murphy.
Murphy was a one-dimensional shooter who appeared in just 24 NBA games and now plays in Turkey. Meanwhile, the 6-foot-8, 215-pound Finney-Smith seemed to offer enough versatility and athletic ability to slip into the top 60 picks and possibly become a rotational player at the next level.
