OMAHA, Neb. — It may be a storyline for fans, but it’s well worn out for Florida coach Kevin O’Sullivan.
The Gators (50-16) play Virginia, O’Sullivan’s alma mater, Monday night at the College World Series in Omaha. First pitch is at 8 p.m. and the game will air on ESPN2.
O’Sullivan graduated with honors in 1991 with a degree in education and sports medicine. The former catcher earned All-Atlantic Coast Conference honors during his two seasons with the Cavaliers, sporting a combined .351 batting average. He returned to Charlottesville as an assistant coach from 1996-97.
“I still follow them,” O’Sullivan said.
