UF coach Jim McElwain did not want an indoor practice facility for the Gators just because everyone else in the SEC has or will have one.
McElwain has a detailed plan for how to maximize the use of of the $17 million facility once it opens next weekend.
"I was able to learn from a master on this, obviously, at one of the stops," McElwain said Friday.
McElwain was on Nick Saban's staff in 2009 at Alabama when the school renovated its Hank Crisp Indoor Facility. Saban pushed former Miami Dolphins' owner Wayne Huizenga to build the team a practice bubble in 2005.
