GAINESVILLE — It’s been almost three years since the Florida baseball team has seen itself on the winning side of an NCAA Tournament game.
That changed Friday.
With a newfound sense of confidence coming out of the SEC Tournament and a chip on their shoulders, the No. 4 national seed Gators made quick work of Florida A&M in their first-round regional matchup, defeating the Rattlers 19-0 at McKethan Stadium.
“This whole thing is about how you’re feeling as a player and a club,” UF coach Kevin O’Sullivan said. “When you get more players feeling good about themselves, the club plays better.
