Two Florida football players have been cited on second-degree misdemeanor charges for failing to pay for their meals, according to Alachua County Sheriff’s Department records.
Florida defensive lineman Caleb Brantley and running back Adam Lane each were charged for defrauding an innkeeper under $300. According to a sworn affidavit, Lane ran off on a bill of $16.93 for miscellaneous food items on July 4 at Splitz Bowling Alley in Gainesville, while Brantley failed to pay $42.34. Both players were identified by a witness in a photo lineup, and both were caught on surveillance cameras leaving the establishment, according to the affidavit.
