Two of Florida's top verbal commitments in its 2016 recruiting class are officially Gators.
Cocoa cornerback Chauncey Gardner, a Rivals100 member, and consensus four-star wide receiver Freddie Swain of Citra North Marion both signed their written offer of admissions Tuesday for early enrollment.
UF coach Jim McElwain announced their signings on his Twitter account.
The move allows McElwain and his staff to have unlimited contact with Gardner and Swain as well as comment on them publicly.
Gardner, an Under Armour All-American, originally committed to the Gators in the summer of 2014 but backed off his pledge after the coaching change.
