Today at the FINA World Championships, Florida Gators senior swimmer Caeleb Dressel became the first person to win three gold medals in one day at either the Olympics or Worlds. Dressel has so far collected six gold medals at this week’s event.
The 20-year old swimmer has been sensational this week and cemented his place as a rising swim superstar.
Dressel completed his golden trifecta today by taking home two individual golds, in both the 50m free and the 100m fly, the latter of which being an event in which he swam the second fastest time ever.
