Florida senior offensive lineman Mason Halter said the biggest transition in his transfer from Fordham University of New York so far has been the heat.
“I’m used to snow,” Halter said. “I’m doing well. I’ve got a nice tan line going.”
The 6-foot-8, 297-pound Halter has played mostly at left tackle during preseason drills at Florida. But Florida coach Jim McElwain said following Friday’s scrimmage that Halter is versatile enough to play multiple positions on the offensive line.
“Mason Halter is kind of the wild card,” McElwain said. “He’s the guy that’s proven he can play a couple spots.
