The first time I met Tim Tebow was in Jacksonville.
The New York Jets were in town for an early-December matchup with the Jaguars. Tebow was third on the depth chart that day and never played a snap. The stadium was packed, a vast majority of the fans in some form of a Tebow jersey.
They were so excited to welcome him home.
Afterwards, my cameraman and I bolted into the locker room and were the first ones reporting to duty at Tebow’s cubby. We thought it would be easy since it seemed to be just us along with a couple of other reporters.
