ATLANTA — As a rule, Nick Saban doesn’t lobby for anything. But after watching his Alabama team defeat Florida 29-15 for the SEC championship on Saturday, he made an exception — sort of — when asked about the upcoming College Football Playoff.
The official word comes on Sunday at noon and Alabama (12-1) is expected to be either the No. 1 or No. 2 seed when the four-team field is announced. But just in case any doubters remain?
“I’m sure there are going to be a lot of coaches out there lobbying for their team to be in it,” Saban said after the game.
