Florida was well-represented on a pair of lists denoting the top players in the SEC.
Sophomore forward Keyontae Johnson was named First Team All-SEC by the league’s 14 coaches. Johnson made a massive leap from his freshman campaign to this season, increasing his averages and shooting percentages across the board.
He led the Gators with 14 points per game and was second on the team in rebounds per game at 7.1. Last season, Johnson averaged 8.1 points and 6.4 rebounds, for comparison.
Johnson was also named to the AP All-SEC Second Team, voted on by league media.
