ORLANDO - Junior tailback Kelvin Taylor could not have picked a more perfect time and place to end his Florida football career.
The Citrus Bowl, Jan. 1.
It was in this same stadium and on this same date in 1998 that Kelvin’s father, Fred Taylor, made his memorable Gator farewell, rushing for a Citrus Bowl-record 234 yards on 43 carries in Florida’s 21-6 victory over Penn State.
Kelvin would like to add to the Taylor legacy in the Citrus Bowl with a big-time performance of his own Friday against Michigan.
“It’s very cool, man, (playing my final game where my father did),” Taylor said.
