Surprise, surprise: KeVaughn Allen starred against Arkansas.

The Florida Gators held a 16-point lead with under eight minutes to play at Bud Walton Arena on Wednesday night.

You can probably guess how that lead dwindled to just two points with under a minute to play in Fayetteville against the Arkansas Razorbacks.

But this game would not slip from the Gators’ hands.

Florida played its best defense of the night against explosive Arkansas guard Mason Jones on the most important possession of the game, and got four clutch free throws from Natural State native KeVaughn Allen in the final 12 seconds of a 57-51 win that felt like survival — after often looking like a rout.
