Steve Spurrier Jr., son of Florida Gators legend Steve Spurrier, will join UF’s staff as an offensive analyst, according to On3. Gator Country reported the likelihood of this happening a few weeks back, and now it’s official. Spurrier Jr. spent four seasons with UF as a graduate assistant from 1994-98.
Since the 2023 season, Spurrier Jr. held a number of positions with Tulsa. Starting as offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach, Spurrier Jr. was promoted to associate head coach and running backs coach while maintaining his offensive coordinator position in 2024. Under Spurrier Jr.’s direction, Tulsa’s offense in 2023 ranked among the top-35 nationally for rushing, red zone offense, third down conversions and passing yards per completion.
