There's a good chance a decision by the State Attorney's Office whether to formally charge former Florida defensive back J.C. Jackson with armed robbery will be reached by the end of this week. Regardless of the outcome of the investigation, Jackson is not expected to return to UF, sources have again confirmed.
Jackson, a redshirt freshman from Immokalee, was arrested in April and charged with three counts of armed robbery.
Jackson has not been enrolled in classes at UF since the spring semester.
While awaiting the outcome of the State Attorney's investigation, Jackson has been exploring other options, including possibly enrolling at junior college, if the charges against him are dropped.
