The SEC set an all-time conference attendance record by averaging 78,630 fans during home football games, the NCAA announced Monday.
That figure is up about 1 percent from last season (77,694), and 2015 marked the 18th year in a row the SEC led the country in average attendance.
Although Michigan and Ohio State led the country in that statistic, the next four schools - Texas A&M, LSU, Alabama and Tennessee - were all from the SEC. Georgia was eighth, and Florida was ninth (90,065).
The ACC's average attendance (49,033) was last among Power Five conferences, according to the NCAA.
