The SEC has announced its men’s basketball conference schedule for the 2020-21 season.
It is an 18-game schedule for each team, with a built-in “open day” on March 6. That is an extra time slot to schedule a game should it need to be rescheduled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
While the non-conference slate this season was reduced from 13 games in 2019-20 to just nine this season, in-conference games remain unchanged. Eighteen in-conference games is typical for SEC basketball. The conference tournament, as it will this season, usually starts about a week later.
