The Florida Gators snapped a five-game losing streak vs LSU on Saturday evening, defeating the Tigers 27-16 behind a season-high seven sacks from Florida’s defense and a monster game from senior receiver Elijhah Badger. The victory also ended Florida’s eight game losing streak against top 25 teams. Florida improves to 5-5 (3-4 SEC) on the 2024 season.
It was a unique game in Gainesville as LSU outgained Florida 382-339, out snapped Florida 92-43, and dominated the time of possession by over 23 minutes. The Gators struggled to get off the field on defense, allowing 13 of 24 conversions on 3rd down and 2 of 4 on 4th downs.
