GAINESVILLE — Florida sophomore wing Scottie Lewis is leaving the Gators to enter the NBA Draft, becoming the third player to explore his professional options and seventh overall to leave coach Mike White’s program.
Lewis, 21, announced his decision in an Instagram post Thursday, signaling he has signed with an agent and therefore cannot return to college.
“Playing in the NBA has always been my main priority in life,” Lewis wrote. “I would like to give a special thanks to my coaches for always being honest and truthful. Without you all doing so I would not have grown to be so tough.
