GAINESVILLE — UF athletics director Scott Stricklin said each football player infected with COVID-19 during the Gators' recent outbreak will receive a battery of tests to ensure a safe return to the field next week.
During a two-minute video message posted Friday on the athletic department’s website, Stricklin also said everyone who made the trip to Texas A&M 14 days ago was placed in quarantine while receiving daily tests as medical personnel determined the extent of the virus' spread.
The school reported Tuesday 25 players tested positive for COVID-19 since the team’s trip to Texas A&M, culminating with a 41-38 loss Oct.
