Florida’s much-anticipated quarterback competition this spring apparently will not include last year’s starter, junior Treon Harris.
Harris, who struggled in coach Jim McElwain’s pro-style offense last fall, is moving to wide receiver this spring, according to several reports.
Harris could not be reached for comment. UF spokesman Steve McClain said the team has not announced any position changes.
The Sun learned Harris did work briefly with the wide receivers during a players-only workout a few weeks ago, but that he has not participated in recent practices.
