Mississippi State athletic director Scott Stricklin will take the same position at Florida, multiple sources reported Monday.
Florida will officially announce the hire at a Tuesday news conference.
Stricklin, who has served as the Bulldogs’ athletic director since 2010, will replace the retiring Jeremy Foley in the role. Florida announced in June that Foley will retire on Oct. 1.
USA Today, which first reported the news, said Stricklin was on Florida’s Gainesville campus Monday finalizing the deal.
Stricklin, 45, is a Jackson, Mississippi native and 1992 Mississippi State graduate.
