Florida junior defensive back Chris Williamson has left the program multiple sources confirmed to Gator Country.
Williamson appeared in 14 games during this two years in Gainesville including one start last season against UMass. The majority of his playing time came on special teams.
He recorded five total tackles.
Williamson faced stiff competition at cornerback this season with several returning players, as well as five defensive back signees from Florida’s 2017 recruiting class, and three additional redshirt freshmen all vying for playing time.
Earlier in the day it was announced that the Gators also lost leading tackler, safety Marcell Harris, for the entire season after he suffered a torn Achilles tendon.
