The Florida Gators dropped to 3-3 (1-2 SEC) on the 2024 season after Saturday night’s heartbreaking 23-17 overtime loss to No.8 Tennessee (5-1, 2-1 SEC) in Knoxville.
Redzone miscues haunted Florida in week seven. In seven trips to the redzone (including OT), the Gators totaled just 17 points and left four possessions empty handed. In the first half alone, Florida had four trips to the redzone and managed just three points.
A bad 4th and inches play call, a special teams blunder, and a fumble on 1st and goal from the one-yard line killed Florida’s chances of walking away with a victory in regulation.
