The Florida Gators hit a season-high 16 3-pointers and shot 59.6 percent to defeat Arkansas-Little Rock 94-71 Wednesday night. UF coach Mike White said it was the Gators' best offensive performance during his two seasons at UF.
It was love at first sight for UF shooting guard KeVaughn Allen.
On Tuesday, Allen baptized Exactech Arena at the Stephen C. O'Connell Center by drilling seven consecutive 3-pointers prior to the Gators' first practice in their new digs.
The love affair continued Wednesday night during a 94-71 home-opening win against Arkansas-Little Rock.
Behind the red-hot Allen, the Gators (9-3) put on a shooting exhibition during their first home game in their renovated arena following 11 straight road outings to open the season.
