When it comes to the value of spring practice, it’s clear where Florida wide receivers coach Kerry Dixon stands.
For the first time since arriving in Gainesville, Dixon has had the opportunity to work with UF’s primary pass-catching target, wide receiver Antonio Callaway.
After arriving in the summer of 2015, Callaway quickly emerged as Florida’s No. 1 wide receiver of the future. But the Miami native missed all of spring practice heading into his sophomore season due to a suspension.
Callaway’s missed opportunity to fine tune his craft was evident to Dixon, and it left the coaching staff, and Callaway himself, longing for the spring.
