Florida graduate transfer quarterback Malik Zaire on Wednesday tweeted out a photo of him poised to throw a football inside Ben Hill Griffin Stadium.
Zaire may “visualize” himself as the starter, but he has some work to do to become the starter for Florida’s September 2 season-opener against Michigan in Arlington, Texas. He is expected to compete for the starting job with redshirt freshman Feleipe Franks, who was atop the depth chart after spring practice. Redshirt freshman Kyle Trask and junior Luke Del Rio also will be looking to get into the mix, and true freshman Kadarius Toney could have some packages developed for him, as well.
